Additional Resources

Note: This page reflects the latest version of the APA Publication Manual (i.e., APA 7), which released in October 2019. The equivalent resource for the older APA 6 style can be found here.

If you are using APA style for a class assignment, it's a good idea to consult your professor, advisor, TA, or other campus resources for help with using APA style, as these are the sources that are most likely to be able to tell you how the style's guidelines apply in your particular case. Many reference librariansparticularly those working on school campuseswill also be able to help. However, if you're not a student or this sort of professional help isn't available to you, don't worry: there are a variety of ways to get guidance in APA style yourself.

Print Resources

Information on APA style is available in a variety of print publications. The Purdue OWL does not make any profit from any of these books, nor does it endorse any of the publishing agencies. This information is merely provided for your reference. Many of these books may be available at your local library. Campus libraries are especially likely to have them. You can also find them for sale via most major online retailers.

Note: Because the 7th edition of the APA manual is relatively new, fewer supplementary resources currently exist than existed for the 6th edition. However, more may be published in the coming years.
