By Eugie R.

Hi everyone! My name is Eugie and this is my 4th year working with the Writing Lab and I currently serve as the Writing Across the Curriculum and Workshop Assistant Director. Tutoring has totally transformed who I am and how I approach writing with others and for myself. Prior to my time here, I completed my undergraduate degree in English at Texas A&M University; here at Purdue, I have completed my Master’s in Rhetoric and Composition and am currently finishing up my PhD in the same program as well. My research focuses on an inquiry and redefinition of entrepreneurial identity. One of my greatest strengths as a writer is diagramming/mapping my ideas so that I can lean on visual representations of my work when I’m hit with writer’s block and I often use this strategy with writers that visit the lab for sessions. My greatest goal as a tutor is to help my clients feel empowered to be better writers, I look forward to seeing you for a session soon!
